I still have a partial bottle of red wine left over from making Guinness beef stew, which is exciting because it means I get to cook all sorts of things with red wine until it’s used up! Like this mushroom red wine sauté, a great topping to make rice and veggies more interesting.
This weekend we had a Guinness Stout-themed meal for Matt’s birthday. Irish beef stew with Guinness stout in the broth, bacon cheddar chive muffins (no Guinness in those, but hey… there’s bacon) and a Guinness brownie cake for dessert! Served with a Guinness, of course. 🙂
